As restrictions ease, 33 Bristol leads the way…

Works are well underway at 33 Bristol, with completion of the refurbishment project due in September 2020.

Enquiries are already strong for the building, with interested parties keen to secure their place in this high profile office and we are pleased to report that we have already secured one new occupier for the building!

The refurbishment of 33 Bristol will provide open plan floor plates, with the penthouse having two roof terraces and full exposed services, on-site car parking, bike storage, shower facilities, electric car charging points, together with a completely reconfigured and remodelled reception area.  Suites will be available in the building from 1,600 – 5,000 – 11,000 – 34,000 sq ft - offering complete flexibility for incoming tenants.

Shake up of Planning Use Classes Order

“Shake up of planning use classes order allows greater flexibility and opportunity…  Since the implantation of the new Class E, this has allowed greater flexibility to move between use classes without the need for Planning Consent.  The changes which came into effect in September 2020 have seen classes A1, A2, A3, B1, D1 and D2 revoked in favour of a new Class E “commercial business and service” use.

This new class covers a wide range of uses including retail, financial and professional services, cafes, and restaurants (currently A1 – as into A3), offices, research, and development and light industrial (currently B1), clinics, health centres and nurseries (currently D1) and indoor sports and recreation (currently D2).

There are some exclusions, however, for more information and to gain a better understanding of this positive news, please feel free to contact a member of the Burston Cook agency team to find out more...

To Work from Home or the Office? … That is the Question!

Following widescale reports of companies resorting to a greater degree of working from home practices after Covid-19, we can report that from extensive feedback we have had from business owners, office occupiers and employees, despite potential cost savings, working from home for the majority, is not favoured in terms of its impact on moral, the feeling of isolation and the loss of human contact in a business environment which can have a negative impact on motivation, team spirit and efficiencies in working as a team under one roof.
